the mayor’s favor | indonesia

For the first time ever in Teluk Delam, Indonesia, we gathered pastors from all over the region in one place. There were over forty pastors there! We established them in our teachings of identity and sonship, and so many of them were refreshed by the simple truth that our greatest purpose in life is to be loved by God. We began sharing about our crusades in Ethiopia last May where we had gathered over 250,000 people and they were so pumped up! We told them about the process and the resources we had to pull and lay out a vision for the same thing there in Indonesia.
After our teachings were completed, they were so excited about what God was doing there in Indonesia that without our help or prompting, they stayed and formed a committee for a crusade in Indonesia for August! Each pastor committed a certain number of people they promised to bring. One pastor would yell out 500! Another would yell out 200! Each pastor committed towards the harvest. The population in that area is 77,000. They’re hoping to reach 7,000 for that crusade! They began planning, brainstorming, and praying all on their own accord! We were so encouraged by the hunger and fire we were seeing in these pastors.
Here’s the crazy part. One of the pastors had connections to the local government. They needed permission from the government and a space for the crusade if they wanted to have it in August. That pastor got us a meeting with the mayor that night! Yes, the mayor! As we drove to the mayor’s office we noticed a huge plot of land in front of his house. I found out that that was the land we were hoping to use for the actual crusade. We were thinking, what’s going on! Favor to the max.
We walked into the mayor’s house and it was like a mansion right there in the heart of Indonesia. We sat down and waited until he walked in. He walked in and sat like a boss. We felt the presence of authority! We began sharing our vision and heart with him. We saw God moving upon his heart and eventually stir excitement in him. The mayor not only approved the crusade for August, he also gave us permission to use the land right there in front of his house. That’s not all! He offered to provide us all the chairs, sound system, and transportation for anyone that wanted to come from neighboring villages! And now they’re preparing for us to come back in August, gathering, mobilizing, and preparing the harvest.
As an added bonus, I’ll include what else happened at the mayor’s office. He shared his heart with us about opening a HUGE christian center in that region. He wanted it legit. But his heart was to bring in an architect from America. So the mayor asked us if we knew any architects that we could send over to head the project. He said they had a budget of 150 million dollars and all they needed was an architect to come and use it! We gladly accepted his request and told him we’d look for one and keep in touch.
God is infiltrating government! Let’s go. August can’t come soon enough.
